Course Outline
Everyone has a leadership style that they use without thinking because it's comfortable, and it has often been successful. But it's not always the most appropriate one to use every time. Leaders who have the flexibility to use different leadership styles will have more productive employees and more successful careers.
- Identify your preferred leadership style.
- Develop the flexibility to use all four leadership styles: telling, selling, participating, and delegating.
- Decide which leadership style to use in a given situation develop employees on the tasks that they need to perform.
- Deal effectively with employees whose performances regresses.
- Learn the four different combinations of task behaviour and relationship behaviour that comprise the four leadership styles.
- Diagnose the readiness level of employees on their various tasks.
- Match leader behaviour to readiness level.
- Learn the skills of leader behaviour that fall outside your comfort zone.
